The Hamilton Booktag!

FACT: I am completely OBSESSED with Hamilton. And you all should be too. 🙂

For those of you who don’t know, Hamilton is a hip-hop Broadway/musical about the American revolution and Alexander Hamilton and history and AH IT’S JUST AMAZING. I have had the entire soundtrack on repeat for who knows how long at this point.

This tag was created by Maureen on her channel MaureenKeavy on her YouTube channel! You can watch her original tag video here.

So, the tag basically has a question matched up with a song from the soundtrack. So here they are:

The Room Where It Happens

A book world that you would put yourself into

Well, this is a very easy answer for me, I would OBVIOUSLY pick Harry Potter. I mean who wouldn’t want to go to Hogwarts? If that person is you, something is incredibly wrong my friend.

The Schuyler Sisters

An Underrated Female Character

My answer from this one has to be Tess from the Legend trilogy. Like can we talk about how long Tess stood by Day and helped him out with basically EVERYTHING in his life! Like Day would probably be so dead from all his wounds had Tess not been there to take care of him and bandage up his wounds and help him through the healing process. Not only that but she was he closest, and at the beginning of the series, his only friend. And after Day ran away with June and they fought and stuff, Tess got herself together even though the guy who she was always with left, and she became a fully fledged nurse! Like that takes a hell of a lot of strength which is amazing. Tess deserves so much more praise than she got.

My Shot

A character that goes after what they want and doesn’t let anything stop them

To bring back a super powerful female character, I’m gonna go with Scarlet from the Lunar Chronicles. We cannot forget the countless times she pushed on through whatever mess her squad was in and used her fierceness to get what she wanted. Especially in “Winter”, no spoilers but she was kickass in that finale.

Stay Alive

A character you wish was still alive

So, there are many many MANY deaths from the Harry Potter universe I wish wasn’t dead, but the death that hit me the hardest, and this may seem weird or odd to many of you, but it was Dobby’s. I literally cried my eyes out when Dobby died and I do NOT cry in books. I am for sure not a book crier, so when something makes me cry, it’s pretty legit. And Dobby’s death had me mourning for the longest time and I felt so sad he was gone, so yeah, I wish Dobby was still alive 😦

The most heartbreaking end to a relationship you’ve ever read

Like I said, I’m not a book crier. But Day and June’s ending completely broke me. Their relationship was so wonderful and unique in so many ways and to see Day FORGET JUNE JUST RIPPED MY HEART OUT. I am not kidding when I say that the end to Champion was horrific for me. I couldn’t believe that they had to start over and that Day could no longer remember everything he went through with June. It was definitely a sad time.

You’ll Be Back

Sassiest villain

I honestly cannot think about a book with a sassy villain. If you have, comment below and let me know I would love to read one 🙂 But I can cheat a little and definitely put down Moriarty from Sherlock (the TV show) for this category.

The Reynolds Pamphlet

A book with a twist that you didn’t see coming

We Were Liars. Enough said.

A series you marathoned

A funny thing about me is that I usually do marathon my series, in fact I am pretty sure I almost always do. There may be one or two that I haven’t but that’s about it. If all the books are out, you can be sure as hell that I’m reading those puppies one after the other. I think most recently I marathoned The Lunar Chronicles, but the last book wasn’t out yet, so if we are going with a complete series I think it was the Juliette Chronicles.

Favorite book with multiple POVs

November 9th by Colleen Hoover. I love Colleen Hoover and all the books I’ve read by her so far.

Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story

A book/series you feel like will be remembered throughout history

And to go back to where we started, I am yet again going to say Harry Potter. I don’t think I even need to explain this, but everything about this series screams to me that it is going to live on forever and ever and ever. 🙂

That is about it for this tag! If you’re reading this, I tag all of you to do it and bring it to the book blog world 🙂 I hope you all enjoyed reading this and if you don’t want to do the whole tag but you want to list a few of your answers, go ahead and do it in the comments, I would love to see them 🙂

PS. I am going to be travelling in the next couple of days so I’m going to try to post as often as I can, but there may be long gaps between posts, so I hope you understand why 🙂
